Unfortunately it often won’t, at least not up front because it’s not required to. Then what we do is we look at your policy and we see what your motorcycle policy has on it, and whether you have personal injury protection insurance. It’s not always available on all motorcycle policies, so find out from your agent if they’ll sell it to you. If you don’t have that, then we go to your health insurance. If you don’t have that, then we try to work out a deal with your doctor so that you can get your medical bills paid or taken care of at least, in the meantime, and then compensated on the back end. The insurance company for the person who hit you will ultimately have to pay your medical bills at the very end of the case, but they don’t always have to pay it up front, so it’s important that you have some insurance, too.
