Each year\u00a0<strong>thousands of injuries<\/strong>\u00a0are caused by fireworks. The 4th of July is right around the corner and with that in mind, please be extra cautious and remember the following:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Fireworks are NOT toys &#8211; they are explosives that contain combustible chemicals and gunpowder and can burn upwards of<strong> 2,000 degrees<\/strong>, so keep away from children.<\/li>\n<li>Have water and a fire extinguisher nearby in case a fire starts.<\/li>\n<li>Secure your firework completely before lighting the fuse to make sure it stays upright.<\/li>\n<li>Ignite your firework at an angle and quickly back away to a <strong>safe distance<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Only set off <strong>one firework at a time<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Use a <strong>wide open space<\/strong> &#8211; avoid shooting off fireworks near buildings, crowds, or dry fields.<\/li>\n<li>When finished, placed used fireworks in bucket of water and <strong>dispose <\/strong>of all\u00a0debris.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Remember to check for\u00a0fireworks shows you can attend in your area that are designed and operated by pyrotechnic professionals so you can enjoy from a distance!<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #993300;\">Happy 4th of July!
