(And what\u2019s the best thing about it?)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIn the suburbs of Canton, Ohio in a very friendly neighborhood with\u00a0lots of kids.\u00a0It was safe\u2013 everyone looked after each other.\u00a0We played all day without structure (or adults!).\u00a0Pick-up baseball, wiffle ball, football, playing Army in the woods, riding bikes for miles.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Few people know that I am&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201c\u2026very mechanically inclined. I can take about anything apart and put it back together.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>3. What does your perfect day look like?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI had one this spring.\u00a0Woke up at\u00a07 a.m.\u00a0in Seattle, perfect weather, loaded up the bike, drove to the Skagit Valley with Deborah, went to the Tulip Festival, got some great pictures and saw a friend who is an artist. Rode maybe 60 miles to Bellingham and back along Chuckanut Drive \u2013 one of the most beautiful roads in the world\u2013 had ice cream, back for dinner at a great Mexican restaurant.\u201d<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>4. What\u2019s your favorite family tradition?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cChristmas!\u00a0\u00a0It has always been a special time for me and my family.\u00a0\u00a0The smell of a real tree and of baking cookies, the joyous sound of everyone being together, again, for yet another year, the sense of peace that comes with gratitude and reflection.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>5.
